The webinar will focus on ‘Developing Talent’ and will be presented by Dr. David Passmore. Dave will be joined by his DCU colleague Dr. Aine Macnamara. It is designed to support the effective development of players of all levels and will highlight the key developmental approaches and practical guidance for coaches of all age groups. There will be a focus on the technical and mental components of talent development. The webinar will also include the introduction of Hockey Ireland’s newly revised ‘Hooked for Life’ Talent Pathway.
We would encourage coaches of all levels to register for the event and as before, Irish clubs are being given priority. Register here.
Coaching Webinar
Hockey Ireland is running a second coach education webinar on Monday, May 11th from 19.30. The webinar will be presented by Irish women’s assistant coach Gareth Grundie and Irish international Shirley McCay and will explore the use of Video Analysis as a Coaching Tool. It covers key aspects of how to effectively use video analysis to review performance, analyse opposition and feedback to players.
Their last webinar proved to be extremely popular with many coaches signing up from overseas. Due to demand, some coaches from within Ireland were unable to book a place. For that reason, we decided to give an early ‘heads up’ to our clubs to enable your coaches to book on to the free webinar.
There is an opportunity on the booking form to submit requests around areas that your coaches would like to see covered. We will take these into account so feel free to submit a request here.
