The u16 boys took part in the King’s Hospital indoor hockey tournament 2024. This tournament was arranged by a TY student Ciarán Lyons. This was a wonderful initiative and the Avoca team were delighted to come first place!

The u16’s boys have had a wonderful and very successful season as they won the Benny Atkinson Cup on St. Patrick’s Day and also went on to win the U16 Leinster league again in a brilliantly played final against YMCA on April 27th.

Leinster U16 boys Benny Atkinson Cup Final at Three Rock Rovers on St Patrick’s Day. A rocket of a goal for Avoca in the first half was cancelled out early in the second half. As both sides looked to add to their tally, chances came and went and ultimately the match was decided by 1v1s. After 5 1v1s each, Avoca claimed the title for the first time since 1993 winning 3-2.
